Foothill Restaurant is a Pasadena neighborhood restaurant created around a simple philosophy: creating flavors and experiences worth savoring.

OUR STORY

Though we opened our doors in 2017, the journey to Foothill started decades ago. On October 25th, 1966, my family and I arrived in Boston to work at my uncle’s restaurant, Jimmy’s Harborside. Counting celebrities, athletes, and politicians among its regulars, Jimmy’s Harborside was a landmark destination for 85 years, and it’s where I first cut my teeth in fine dining. It was a family affair: my dad, Lefteri, was the maître d'; my mom, Elena, worked in the coat room, and my old brother, Charlie, was the manager. 

At Jimmy’s Harborside, I realized that a beloved establishment isn’t just about extraordinary food. It’s about the service, the ambiance, and the connections you form with the people who pass through.

Connection is the centerpiece of a good meal, and while my brother and I have worked together for over five decades, it’s been the central theme within all of our endeavors. From Schooner’s and Tony Roma’s to pizza and burger joints to Pasadena destinations like Twohey’s, we’ve built our visions around the joy of coming together over food and experiences worth savoring.

We aspired to create a neighborhood spot where you could find the best version of your favorite American classics and a place that’s always ready to welcome you back.
